Thank you SO much for pointing me in the direction of Sonata Arctica's latest video Honestly, I've been caught up in other stuff lately (haha Nightwish) that I nearly forgot to check up on all the new stuff Sonata had out.

ANYWAY, ANYone out there that enjoys metal I would highly reccomend listening to this gorgeous song.

I had to watch it a couple of times to really get into it. lol At first I was just thinking "Ugh... Great, the first video without Jani." So, I had to get over that and really dig deeper, and eventually I started to enjoy the whole STORY behind the song and the brilliant video that was created for this song. Towards the end, I started feeling all the emotions and actually...was CRYING! (I cry really easily, there's no surprise). But I really feel the emotion in this song, and I absolutely love the lyrics and the story/idea behind them all. The melody is also gorgeous...

The part that really got me was the very last part:
"I made my way into the great unknown
Land by the river, and a new built home.
Every night, when I'm looking at the full moon rising
I hold you and know that we are free..."

Also, this is apparently the "prologue" to the song, and it explains what the story is about. After reading it, it was even more touching..haha

From what I've read (correct me if I'm wrong) it takes place in North America around the 1800's.

Honestly, there hasn't been another "story" created by Sonata that has ever touched me so much. This is about...real, true love and wanting to make a better life.
I can't stop listening to it... I need to buy this album...

(lol the video somehow reminds me of "Over the Hills and Far Away" by Nightwish. But it's still...different. which is good.)
